Note:
To qualify for one of the Business Skills Permanent Visas you will need to provide details of your provisional visa and evidence to the relevant Government authorities about your business or investment activity since your arrival in Australia.
It is possible to apply for Northern Territory Government sponsorship when applying for a Business Skills Permanent Visa. You can contact the Department of Business, Economic and Regional Development for further information about Northern Territory Government sponsorship. For sponsored applicants the criteria for the permanent residence visa are lower and where appropriate, exceptional circumstances may be invoked. Sponsorship by the Northern Territory is not a guarantee of visa approval or business development/investment activity success.
More detailed information about the Business Skills Entry program is available online at DIAC Booklet 7: Business Skills Entry or hard copy from your local Department of Immigration and Citizenship Office.
