Onshore Skilled - Regional (subclass 887) Visa

The Onshore Skilled - Regional (subclass 887) visa is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled overseas people who are in Australia on provisional visas.

Am I eligible?

To meet the requirements for a Skilled - Regional subclass 887 visa you must, at the time you lodge your application:

You and any dependents included on your visa application must be able to meet the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) health and character requirements for permanent residence.

What are the steps I need to take?

You will need to:

  • submit a completed and signed DIAC Form 1276 together with all personal documentation and documentation evidencing that you have met the residence and work requirements for the visa; and
  • pay the correct DIAC visa application fee.
